Featured on Times of India as top Maternity Photographer in India
What Times of India says about me:
When Yakita Seth conceived last year, she wanted to capture every precious moment of her preg nancy . Her husband and she began clicking photos of her at the end of each month but found that it was not so easy for an amateur to capture the emotions. That's when she decided to rope in the services of a maternity photographer.
“We had decided to have just one child so we wanted to preserve all the moments of that time,“ says Yakita, whose daughter Iyra is now one-and-a-half months old. After an online search, she got in touch with Antony Pratap of Nevervoid Photography , and, at the end of the seventh month, flew him down from Bangalore.“We shot in the park near our home in Sholinganallur and also on the beach and will preserve these photographs for our daughter to see when she grows up,“ says the 30-year-old.
The baby bump is no longer something to be hidden under yards of cloth. With young mothers-to-be eager to celebrate every moment of their pregnancy , there is an increasing demand for maternity photographers in Chennai. And many of these professionals are coming up with special “preggy“ packages to draw in the clientele.
Though some women prefer to be clicked indoors, others love to be photographed by the seashore. “We stop by remote locations where there are not many people around,“ says Pratap, whose outfit specializes in fine art maternity photography , giving pictures a dreamy feel. They also try out new concepts spelling out MOM, with the father-to-be-holding the letter `M' on either side of the baby bump, with the belly itself shaping the O. “We also advise clients to make and use their own props,“ says Pratap, who offers the client 50 to 60 photos, 10 of which are creatively edited.
